Cardinals
Ages 3.5 – 5
Play-based Curriculum
Our Cardinals curriculum focus’s heavily on social-emotional understanding, literacy conception, STEAM activities and process art projects all while introducing early academic concepts in preparation for kindergarten.
Daily Routine
Each day we spend time immersed in free play, exploring outside and together for communal snack & lunch. We sing songs, finger plays and identify letters, numbers and language structures through games, pretend play and stories. During play and activity time, children might work individually or in small groups with a teacher. We are a part-time program beginning our day at 8:30am and closing at 1pm.
Center-style Playroom
Our classroom is designed to encourage individual play as well as cooperative learning opportunities. Each center features materials to inspire children to explore areas that interest them - language and reading, construction, home living, math, fine motor skills, art, dramatic play, science, and sensory exploration. This structure helps your child gain independence and further explore themes and concepts introduced by our teachers, perfect for their growing minds.
Grown-up Engagement
Parents & caregivers are always invited to play along with us! We host various volunteer opportunities such as visiting as a Snack time Storyteller, becoming a LBL Bookworm and providing thematic library books, or by volunteering to share a unique talent or skill with the children!
Let your big kid take the lead!
In our Cardinals class we provide a balance of child-initiated & teacher-led experiences for your little one to strengthen their social, emotional and school-readiness skills. It’s our goal to prioritize each child’s pace, interests & abilities as we play together each day!
