Hummingbirds

Ages 2 – 3

Play-based Curriculum

Our Hummingbird curriculum explores learning through pretend play, whole body movement, building & find motor development, process art, natural science & an introduction to Spanish.

Budding Confidence

We encourage the development of socialization and self-help skills in our Hummingbird class by incorporating group play, circle time, self-guided activities, and class projects by encouraging independent learning and choices.

Grown-up Engagement

Parents & caregivers are always invited to play along with us! We host various volunteer opportunities such as visiting as a Snack time Storyteller, becoming a LBL Bookworm and providing thematic library books, or by volunteering to share a unique talent or skill with the children!

Daily Structure

We’ve designed our unique routine to focus on whole-child development by balancing structured opportunities for active thinking and social skill building with child-led, center play. We are a part-time program beginning our day at 8:30am and closing at 1pm.

Potty Training

Potty training is a very important milestone in a child’s development, and we’re happy to encourage this transition when each child is ready! Our teachers will work together with you in order to transition through this milestone in a way that best suits your child, and will communicate their progress with you so you can continue at home.

Blazing a trail of independance!

In our Hummingbird class, your child will feel safe developing their unique identity. We encourage curiousity, hands-on learning and emerging verbal skills. We will give each child endless opportunities to practice the art of playing alongside with others & self-regulation.
